For most non-calendar models, pull the crown out to the first click, turn it to set the time, and push it back in. For calendar models, the crown may have two click positions: one for the date/day and the second for the time.
Check the dial or case back for water resistance ratings (e.g., 50M/5 BAR or 100M/10 BAR). If marked, it can withstand splashes or swimming depending on the rating. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet.
