4.1 Mounting the Grill

The Magma Marine Kettle 3 requires a mounting solution (sold separately) for secure placement. Common options include rail mounts, pedestal mounts, or flush deck mounts. Follow the specific instructions provided with your chosen mount.

4.2 Connecting the Propane Canister

  1. Ensure the control valve on the grill is in the 'OFF' position.
  2. Attach the control valve/regulator assembly to the grill's gas inlet. Hand-tighten securely.
  3. Screw a 1lb disposable propane canister onto the control valve/regulator. Ensure it is threaded correctly and tightened firmly to prevent leaks.
  4. Check for gas leaks: Apply a soapy water solution to all connections. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, tighten connections or replace the canister/valve if necessary. Do not operate the grill if a leak is present.

5.1 Lighting the Grill

  1. Ensure the lid is open.
  2. Turn the control valve slowly to the 'HIGH' position.
  3. Immediately press the igniter button (if equipped) or use a long-stem lighter to ignite the burner.
  4. Once lit, close the lid and allow the grill to preheat for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Adjust the flame to your desired cooking temperature using the control valve.

5.2 Grilling Operation

For grilling, ensure the grill grate and radiant plate are properly seated inside the grill body. The patented heat distribution system and turbo venturi tube design are engineered to provide consistent heat and minimize flare-ups.
