1. Unpack the alarm clock and power adapter.
2. Connect the power adapter cable to the DC input port on the back of the alarm clock.
3. Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet. The LED display will light up.

5.2 Battery Backup Installation (Optional but Recommended)

The alarm clock uses a CR2032 button cell battery (not included) to maintain time settings during a power outage. This battery does not power the display or alarm functions.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the alarm clock (refer to Figure 4.4).
2. Twist the battery cover counter-clockwise to open.
